Limpkins have understated beauty and can be found on inland lakes. The rich green background is grounding and peaceful just like a morning spent at the lake. I used repeated vegetation in this series because having patterns in our lives is reassuring, like a morning cup of coffee or an after dinner walk. I hope that sense of calm is part of your daily routine. As always, this was painted with love in my home to be a part of yours.
